AM Stations Buy FM Outlets - Article (1982)

The year was 1982 and radio in Nashville was about to change. Mooney Broadcasting, owners of many great radio stations including WMYU (formerly WSEV-FM) in Sevierville, was ready to make another sale happen. Not only that, two other Nashville AM stations (WJRB-AM and WVOL-AM) were slated to buy two Nashville FM stations (WIZO-FM and WMAK-FM) in 1982.
